Welcome to Valentina Montessori School, a co-educational montessori school on Lanre Awolokun, Gbagada Phase II Lagos.
Our Montessori School provides a curriculum which promotes the Montessori philosophy. Learning will be achieved via a mixture of subject, Montessori and topic based activities as well as structural and free play in all areas of the curriculum.
The children are initially shown how to use the Montessori materials. The teacher will observe and then give them helpful assistance and encouragement, when needed with their independent activities. The children will be provided with the opportunities to work/play as an individual and as part of a group. There will be group and individual teaching of the more formal work.
Our pupils encounter a wide range of disciplines in Sport, Art, Music, Drama and Computing as well as in aspects of Science and History so that they can develop their own particular talents and interests. French is taught throughout the School. In addition there are optional Clubs in Swimming, Taekwondo, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Art, Chess and Book Club.
The children enjoy presenting the results of their own research into their class’s termly study topic.
